Upgrade to the loveliness of less

Imagine a place where you live like you’re on a relaxing vacation and walk or bike to everything.

.

Located just a two minute walk west of downtown Edmond on 1st Street, there’s a place where neighbors share life together. It’s a community where friends walk to their favorite café for morning coffee, enjoy the Edmond farmers market on a cool summer Saturday morning, take long afternoon walks under the shade of majestic pecan trees and end the day on their porch swing while sharing a glass of their favorite wine.

All About Your Community

We’ve designed simple and luxurious cottages and offer plenty of things to enjoy outside of your cottage—like a meeting house for those times you want to share a large dinner with friends, outdoor games, an outdoor movie space, hammocks and an herb garden for cooking those delicious meals. To help eliminate clutter from your life, we’ve even added a shared tool and garden shed, plus you’ll enjoy a bike share program to travel around downtown. Residents also have the opportunity to connect at our social gatherings throughout the year like the progressive dinners around downtown Edmond, wine tastings and bike tours through downtown… just to name a few.

Neighborhood clubhouse

The perfect blend of luxury and privacy.

Residents enjoy both the walkable downtown lifestyle and the privacy of a neighborhood just off the beaten path with amenities like the neighborhood clubhouse.

The Lark Neighborhood Site Plan

Inspired by the ‘Pocket Neighborhood” movement by architect Ross Chapin, rather than facing a busy street, the Lark cottages face a common green space where residents can build healthy relationships through shared interactions. Many of us live with too much stuff cluttering our lives, so the Lark embraces simplicity through our many shared community amenities.

What is a Pocket Neighborhood?

Ross Chapin discusses how Pocket Neighborhoods help build community.

Tess Myers

Tess is a native to Edmond, born and raised here with a passion for the local culture and all things downtown Edmond. Matthew Myers

Developer & Partner

I currently live in a modern farmhouse development with my family near Arcadia, Oklahoma. It’s called the Prairie and my business partner and I created it in 2016. My family and I look forward to owning a cottage at The Lark and becoming your neighbors!

To begin, my wife, Kim, and I are both native Oklahomans. Our story began on a blind date that’s flourished into a twenty-six year marriage. She’s a registered dietitian, but now manages our home and teaches English to students internationally. We share an interest in healthy living, lots of laughing, and long walks outside in nature. Our most important values include God, family, and friends. Our family includes: our son Jesse, our daughter Tess, our granddaughter, our yellow lab, Lilly & silver lab, Poppy.

My personal interests and passions begin with my faith. Since I have a curious mind, I enjoy learning about unfamiliar things and meeting new people. Growing up, I was active in wrestling; now, I enjoy hiking the quiet trails of Oklahoma, fly-fishing in the rocky mountains or simply sitting on the back porch while talking with a friend. For my higher education, I attended Oklahoma State University for my undergrad and earned an MBA from Oklahoma City University.

I enjoy investing in and developing real estate. In fact, some of my closest friends are those who have invested with us. We are always excited and hopeful for new friendships. Whether you are a current or future friend, I’d love to share a cup of coffee and talk about life.

You can learn more about my background at www.switchgrasscapital.com

We’ve partnered with some great minds who have a deep understanding of community, place making and pocket neighborhoods.

Brett’s breadth of knowledge of interior design is vast. She first worked exclusively in kitchen and bath design and Designer’s Brew now specializes in residential and small commercial design, working with homeowners, professionals and celebrity clients. Brett is proud to be a Cowgirl Alumna and attributes her success to hard work and an interior design degree from OSU.

Brett is married to builder and Native Texan Tray McPherson of Stone Ridge Homes. They frequently collaborate to tailor a home to a buyer’s needs. Their most recent collaborations are Miss Blaynee Mae McPherson, born in July 2015, Miss Sundee Ann Marie McPherson, born May 2017, and Mr. Robert “Judge” McPherson IV, born September 2019.
